Breast cancer isn't just a painful disease for those diagnosed and their loved ones, it's also very costly. And many times important tests that are needed to help detect cancer in other areas of the body are not covered by insurance companies.
Iris Reed is being treated for breast cancer at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. So far, her treatments have been paid for by her insurance. But fees mount rapidly for tests, medication, and treatments. Iris' niece also has breast cancer and the fees rose quickly to about $99,000.
But now there's help thanks to a new foundation and a partnership with a local San Diego hospital.
Mark Forman founded Forman's Foundation To Find A Cure after his wife Tracy passed away from breast cancer in 2008. Today he's on a mission to help other cancer patients survive. The foundation formed a partnership to help fill the financial gap for breast cancer patients. See how they're helping find a cure in this story.

Delicious protein shake that will refuel your body. After a powerful workout your body needs a good, healthy meal right away. Whole foods such as chicken and fish can be good but not necessarily immediately following a workout. They can be slow to digest. Your body needs fuel ASAP (preferably within 30 minutes of your post workout). I usually drink a protein shake within minutes of completing my workout.
